Decorate Decorate Decorate for Halloween
It's time to decorate for Halloween if you already haven't. Hopefully your costume is well past the design stage and into the full blown construction stage.
Many of the adult costumes available from costume outlets or bargain chain stores can be classified as scary. Sometimes even the conservative styles appear more screwy than they were designed to be. That's when homemade costumes come unto themselves. You can make then as scary as you wish. They are typically more interesting and any store-bought, mass-produced costumes but not everyone has time for this route. Check out some of the costumes available from the costume retailers.
Once you have stopped by your local costume supplier, you're ready to roll and take in some of the Halloween activities scattered throughout Northeaastern PA.
Happy Halloween!

Trolling for costume sites
I've been trolling the net for some good costume sites, found a few for your enjoyment:
NEPA Halloween Costume ideas dedicated to finding costumes and halloween attractions in NEPA and The Costume Designers Guild in case you're interested.
The online costume industry has crushed the local costume shops over the last twenty years, however some of these brick and mortar costume showcases have survived; you just need to do your homework.
Halloween is around the corner
First comes back-to-school sales, then comes the Halloween season. This is the biggest time of the year for costumes, I like to look for costumes gone viral and have some fun. Halloween Near NEPA

Halloween is on the back burner in chilly January. This time of year I'd say most people are focused on warm temperatures and summer activities like riding a vintage ATV. Although costumes may not be a priority right now, it won't be long before the hard-core costume designers start to work on their latest creations.
Ironically, this may be the best time of year to search for Halloween greats...
